Natural Essex Wedding Photography // Kirsty & Jon
Kirsty & Jon's wedding at Colville Hall was a delightful blend of rustic charm and English summer vibes. They embraced my natural photography style, allowing me the freedom to capture their day authentically. Despite rain and sunshine, their celebration remained joyous. Enjoy a glimpse of their day.
Kirsty & Jon entrusted me with capturing their special day at a charming rustic barn in the picturesque village of White Roding, Essex. It was a pleasure to document their eventful journey, as they fully embraced my natural photography style, granting me the freedom to creatively capture their day. Their quintessential English Summer wedding was marked by a mix of rain showers and glorious sunshine, yet everyone remained unfazed, embracing the unpredictability with grace. The team at Colville Hall once again proved their exceptional hospitality, ensuring a truly memorable experience for the couple and their guests.
Below, I invite you to enjoy a selection of moments from Kirsty & Jon's day, each encapsulating the love, laughter, and genuine moments that made their wedding truly special.

The year that was 2019
The year that was 2019
Another busy year and another huge selection of memorable moments. I do enjoy the culling process of these end of year retrospects - Going through all the images curated from each of the 27 weddings was a total joy and truthfully, a little challenging. But, I am delighted to finally present around 100 images that I have taken throughout the year; images that really resonate with me in one way or another.
A Huge Thank you
It goes without saying that I am very thankful to all the couples who lent me their trust on their most important of days. With an extra 15k miles clocked on the car and a trip to Greece, it has been fun. And to all of my 2020 couples and beyond, I look forward documenting more of the same.
Take the time to enjoy a years worth of work rolled into one blog post
New Forest Wedding Photographer // Harriet & Michael
Back in July I was invited to travel to the New Forest to photograph Harriet & Michael’s gorgeous farmhouse marquee wedding. I started the photography coverage as I usually do with the bride and her family in the morning before heading to the church to meet the groom. The service was rather lovely, I remember the Vicar was particularly accommodating with regards to the photography; always nice to have free reign to do the best job possible. Guests then made their way to a beautiful house not too far away in which a giant marquee was erected for the drinks reception.
This was the first time I had ever seen a petting zoo at a wedding, needless to say, guests loved it.
A pretty amazing party followed, with live music, props, glitter and some serious dancing… scroll to the bottom to see lots more
The day was completely full of emotions, (happy) tears from many folks including the bride and groom. Harriet & Michael’s wedding was delight to photograph, I left the party feeling energised, happy and looking forward to working on the image files…
Now, I must pre warn you, this blog post is quiet a large one, but I hope you enjoy looking through each and every one of these moments, please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page or share this wedding post - I really appreciate you looking through…
Cherwell boathouse wedding photography
I captured Piers & Alice's Cherwell Boathouse wedding in Oxford. They shared a rare first look before punting down the river for their heartfelt ceremony, serenaded by friends. Amid confetti and champagne by the river, they danced to an adapted "Like a Virgin" in a celebration filled with love.
“We’ve just sat down together to watch everything. There were tears, laughs, and big smiles. I can only imagine the hard work and intelligent creative choices that go into making these photos and videos both on the day and back on the computer but it is truly appreciated. You were wonderful in going with the rhythm on the day and not interrupting the flow. You’ve documented everything and captured the emotion.”
Back in August I had the absolute pleasure of documenting Piers & Alice’s wedding at Cherwell Boathouse in Oxford.
The couple had an official first look (quite a rare thing in the UK) before punting down the river to have a wonderfully conducted wedding ceremony. Talking of ceremonies, I should say that theirs was particularly delightful, with handwritten heartfelt vows and live music from musical friends.
Confetti, hugs and champagne by the river and a wedding breakfast overlooking the river. More music followed the speeches as an adapted version of “like a virgin by Madonna” was sung by the entire party (you can actually hear this at the end of the photofilm above)
