New Forest Wedding Photographer // Harriet & Michael
Back in July I was invited to travel to the New Forest to photograph Harriet & Michael’s gorgeous farmhouse marquee wedding. I started the photography coverage as I usually do with the bride and her family in the morning before heading to the church to meet the groom. The service was rather lovely, I remember the Vicar was particularly accommodating with regards to the photography; always nice to have free reign to do the best job possible. Guests then made their way to a beautiful house not too far away in which a giant marquee was erected for the drinks reception.
This was the first time I had ever seen a petting zoo at a wedding, needless to say, guests loved it.
A pretty amazing party followed, with live music, props, glitter and some serious dancing… scroll to the bottom to see lots more
The day was completely full of emotions, (happy) tears from many folks including the bride and groom. Harriet & Michael’s wedding was delight to photograph, I left the party feeling energised, happy and looking forward to working on the image files…
Now, I must pre warn you, this blog post is quiet a large one, but I hope you enjoy looking through each and every one of these moments, please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page or share this wedding post - I really appreciate you looking through…
Bartholomew Barn Wedding Photography / Becky & Nathan
Back in April I had the absolute joy working with Becky & Nathan at Bartholomew Barn in West Sussex.
The weather was perfect for an English Country Barn Wedding. The day was just so much fun, with a Carnival theme they had vintage swings and games. I feel absolutely privileged and honoured that people put their trust in me to document their wedding story, this day was filled with so much emotion, love & happiness, a joy to witness and document.
Here is a little over 50 of my favourite images from the day along with a “photographers” narrative explaining my thought process and why I like the image…
I’m starting with probably my favourite frame from their day. Early on Becky had just finished preparations and her father is ready to see her for the first time in her dress. I really like how her mother is lending a comforting hand. Love the sense of anticipation… The next frame is seconds after
“How can we ever say a big enough thank you for the beautiful photos; they are truly stunning and importantly really capture the love and laughter from our magnificent day. We are so grateful to have had you involved and we will truly cherish them all for the rest of our lives. How talented you are so thank you for giving us, and our wedding day, the privilege to be documented by your artistic eye and lens. Simply superb”
At Bartholomew Barn moments before the brides arrival, I really like this frame of Nathan (looking a little nervous) with his best men. I always like to get a few frames of the groom before the ceremony.
Brides mother comforting her “soon to be” Son in Law - You can see the time in her watch, It’s a little thing but I think its rather nice to capture these little details
I slowed my shutter right down here to create a sense of movement - Vintage swings at weddings
Another personal favourite of mine, I capture so many hugs and kisses at weddings but I do love to capture a double hug with amazing expressions
As the sun goes down and before the party starts I like to take a step back - Bartholomew Barn looks amazing in all light but extra good here
Seaside Wedding Photography
Seaside Wedding Photography // Beth & Joel
The Boatyard in Leigh-on-sea, Essex is pretty much on the other side of the UK to me, but well worth the 200 mile trip to visit. Beth and Joel chose to celebrate a really lovely wedding reception at this unique, picturesque wedding venue. After a lovely church ceremony, all of the guests made the short journey by foot down to the beach where glasses of Champagne were handed out and the newlyweds were congratulated on the decking.
Gorgeous Golden Light by the Sea.
The weather was particularly gorgeous, especially for early May. Sublime golden sunlight in the evening casting a beautiful hue over the sea-bed at low tide.
Chinese Sky Lanterns on the beach
After the speeches, as the sun set, many of the guests made their way to the beach area to set Chinese Sky Lanterns into the sky. It was a beautiful spectacle. I was rather pleased that Beth & Joel hired me for their Seaside Wedding photography and that they really got my observing storytelling documentary style.
Enjoy this small selection of my favourite moments from their day. Feel free to share and comment on this post - Many thanks.
“Lee if we could have paid you ten times what we did I don’t think that would even be enough to cover the quality and intimacy of these amazing pictures.
You have captured everything and more.
Thank you from both of us, sincerely.

A Documentary Approach to a Turkish Wedding
Last month I had the pleasure of attending and documenting Noor & Sol's wonderful Turkish wedding. Vibrant and energetic with unforgettable dancing and unique music, this was the first ever Turkish wedding I have photographed and this was indeed a cultural treat!
I met Noor & Sol a week prior to their big party to cover their intimate registry office service in Beaconsfield, followed by a meal at The Crazy Bear.
Noor and Sol's party was held in a beautiful Marque surrounded by lakes and trees. During the evening celebration a surprise firework display took place over the lake to wow guests.
Here are a selection of my favorite images from their day, as always please enjoy... Lee
