Farnham Castle wedding - Rebecca & Luke

A truly beautiful late summer wedding at Farnham Castle

I had the pleasure of returning to this magnificent Castle to photograph the wedding of Rebecca & Luke.

Two words for this wedding "Beautiful & Original"

Having spent the last six years down under in Australia, it was a joy to watch Rebecca & Luke reunite with friends and family to celebrate their wonderful wedding in the UK.

Obviously due to the logistics, it was impossible to meet up beforehand. As with the majority of my clients this is where skype comes in handy. I was familiar with the venue and was happy to return to be their Farnham Castle wedding photographer.

In a short space of time this creative couple certainly pulled it out the bag, including quirky favours and their very own personalised guestbook complete with a Fuji Instax camera for instant Polaroid fun.

With it being late September I was a expecting the possibility of rain, but luck was on their side. The happy couple and guests mingled and drank Pimms in the lawn area accompanied by an acoustic guitarist and glorious sunshine, what a beautiful day it was.

Below are a few of my favorite moments from the day, Enjoy.

Farnham Castle Wedding Photography

A late December wedding held in the historic Farnham Castle, Surrey.

A Winter Wedding at Farnham Castle - Surrey

Catherine & Neil tied the knot late December, a pre-Christmas wedding held in the grand and historic Farnham Castle in Surrey. Bridal prep began at the Castle's gate house, here the bridal parties hair was expertly done by Sophia Wyatt.

It was then off to the Holy Family church for the ceremony, luckily we were blessed with a lovely blue sky.

At the reception a magician wowed guests with his tricks!  Then after food and speeches, a traditional Scottish Ceilidh dance took place, everybody got their feet and partied the night away.

Why I love this image - The snapshot

This image is one of my favourites from a recent wedding, the bride is taking a moments break from all her other guests to see her friends newborn baby.  The gentleman to the left calmly snaps the intimate moment on his phone and I luckily caught the whole scene. I really feel this tells a story from their wedding day and will be looked on fondly in the future. Full wedding blog can be found here

Images like this is why I truly love and favor documentary wedding photography, un-posed and honest moments.
