Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographer - Abbie & Dean

Groom waiting anxiously as his bride walks down the aisle

What was important about your Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographs?: We wanted our wedding to have precious memories of the emotions that we felt throughout the big day and also the memories we shared with our family and friends. In the coverage, we would like everything to look natural. We had some posed group shots but apart from these we would love to have relaxed looking photos. (I hope that makes sense haha).

Why did you choose me as your Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographer?: We loved your style of documentary photography, we aren't too keen on posed pictures and so we wanted to entrust you to capture the genuine moments that we shared as a newly married couple as well as the festivities of the day from a natural perspective.

You folks… what do you do when your not planning a wedding… ?  Dean coaches the South Wales Warriors American football team as well as playing flag American football with the Gators. He has been playing since he was around 12 years old so knows everything there is to know! I love to sing so often gig around south wales. I have also sang with wedding bands and in musicals. We find that making time for each other is very important, with such busy lifestyles we always make sure there is time for us to be together.

The Proposal - Tell me the story? : Dean booked a weekend away at a lodge in Tenby for our 5 year anniversary of being together. It was a beautiful lodge with a hot tub and a view across the Welsh countryside. Dean made a candle lit dinner on the balcony where we sat in the moonlight. After our main course Dean said there was another surprise and got down on one knee to ask the big question! I had no idea and thought he was going to bring out a cake for dessert. It was a beautiful moment, I may have shed a tear or two!

This stunning south Wales venue - Tell me, why an Oldwalls Gower Wedding ?: We chose oldwalls because of the open spaces. After covid and the lockdown we really wanted a venue where everyone would be able to be together and celebrate as a big group. We attended a wedding at Oldwalls for deans friends wedding before we got engaged and we loved it so much we always said we would like to get married there. We love that the accommodation is on site and the grounds were so beautiful.

Who were the suppliers that made the day so perfect:

Our flowers were by: Ruth Milton Jones.
Wedding dress was from: The white collection Portishead.
The cake was by: scrum diddly.
The hair was: Jenna Mcdonnell and make up was: Shevaun Mckenna.
The cookies were: Get caked.
The band was: the brotherhood

Porto Azzuro Wedding Photography - Greece // Jessica & David

I am really pleased to be sharing with you the Greek wedding of Jessica & David.

As far as destination weddings go, the little island of Zante is stunning. Mid-June, the heat hitting a clear 40 degrees this 7pm wedding on the beach was amazing. The sun was slowly lowering in the sky providing some gorgeous golden light as the newlyweds tied the knot to the sounds of the waves gently swooshing. Play the photofilm above to relive the day (volume up is best).

Beach Wedding Ceremony in Greece.

I started my day documenting Jessica with her family preparing at a nearby hotel before heading to Porto Azzuro for the private beach ceremony. I can still hear the music “somewhere over the rainbow” playing as the couple announced their vows to each other and their friends and family.

Greek Wedding Party with traditional dancers & fireworks.

Amazing fireworks followed the speeches, then the dance floor truly came to life. With a DJ playing until the very early hours. Jessica & David were truly two of the nicest folks you could hope to meet and documenting their day over 1000 miles away was an absolute delight. I hope you enjoy looking through this selection of my most favourite moments from their day, Please feel free to leave a comment or get in touch personally if you’re planning a destination wedding.

Colville Hall Wedding Photography - Victoria & Matthew

What an amazing wedding!

Today I am delighted to share with you the summer wedding of Victoria & Matthew at Colville Hall in Essex (one of the nicest barns I have ever seen).

The happy couple booked me quite a while ago and decided to have one of my wedding photofilm productions, a really good move as the speeches were really heartfelt and sincere. I Particularly liked the poem from the brides mother and the sincerity from the grooms speech to his new wife… Best to press play on the film above with the volume up to really re-live their day… Absolutely gorgeous and well worth 5 minutes of your time.

Settle in for for the photofilm above or glide through the selection of my most favourite images below taking in every moment captured - Volume up as always with nice hot drink. Enjoy!

Wow!! We are absolutely overjoyed with the photos. Thank you so, so much. The photofilm is absolutely incredible and we really love it. You’ve perfectly captured our day and we couldn’t be more pleased!
