Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographer - Abbie & Dean

Groom waiting anxiously as his bride walks down the aisle

What was important about your Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographs?: We wanted our wedding to have precious memories of the emotions that we felt throughout the big day and also the memories we shared with our family and friends. In the coverage, we would like everything to look natural. We had some posed group shots but apart from these we would love to have relaxed looking photos. (I hope that makes sense haha).

Why did you choose me as your Oldwalls Gower Wedding Photographer?: We loved your style of documentary photography, we aren't too keen on posed pictures and so we wanted to entrust you to capture the genuine moments that we shared as a newly married couple as well as the festivities of the day from a natural perspective.

You folks… what do you do when your not planning a wedding… ?  Dean coaches the South Wales Warriors American football team as well as playing flag American football with the Gators. He has been playing since he was around 12 years old so knows everything there is to know! I love to sing so often gig around south wales. I have also sang with wedding bands and in musicals. We find that making time for each other is very important, with such busy lifestyles we always make sure there is time for us to be together.

The Proposal - Tell me the story? : Dean booked a weekend away at a lodge in Tenby for our 5 year anniversary of being together. It was a beautiful lodge with a hot tub and a view across the Welsh countryside. Dean made a candle lit dinner on the balcony where we sat in the moonlight. After our main course Dean said there was another surprise and got down on one knee to ask the big question! I had no idea and thought he was going to bring out a cake for dessert. It was a beautiful moment, I may have shed a tear or two!

This stunning south Wales venue - Tell me, why an Oldwalls Gower Wedding ?: We chose oldwalls because of the open spaces. After covid and the lockdown we really wanted a venue where everyone would be able to be together and celebrate as a big group. We attended a wedding at Oldwalls for deans friends wedding before we got engaged and we loved it so much we always said we would like to get married there. We love that the accommodation is on site and the grounds were so beautiful.
