Cherwell boathouse wedding photography
I captured Piers & Alice's Cherwell Boathouse wedding in Oxford. They shared a rare first look before punting down the river for their heartfelt ceremony, serenaded by friends. Amid confetti and champagne by the river, they danced to an adapted "Like a Virgin" in a celebration filled with love.
“We’ve just sat down together to watch everything. There were tears, laughs, and big smiles. I can only imagine the hard work and intelligent creative choices that go into making these photos and videos both on the day and back on the computer but it is truly appreciated. You were wonderful in going with the rhythm on the day and not interrupting the flow. You’ve documented everything and captured the emotion.”
Back in August I had the absolute pleasure of documenting Piers & Alice’s wedding at Cherwell Boathouse in Oxford.
The couple had an official first look (quite a rare thing in the UK) before punting down the river to have a wonderfully conducted wedding ceremony. Talking of ceremonies, I should say that theirs was particularly delightful, with handwritten heartfelt vows and live music from musical friends.
Confetti, hugs and champagne by the river and a wedding breakfast overlooking the river. More music followed the speeches as an adapted version of “like a virgin by Madonna” was sung by the entire party (you can actually hear this at the end of the photofilm above)

Lainston House Wedding Photographer
A fun filled wedding at Lainston House, Winchester. (Mexican hats & Tequila at the ready!!)
Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you Laura & Costa's big wonderful wedding story. I was over the moon when the happy couple hired me to be their Lainston House Wedding Photographer (and what a really great story it was to tell).
What I really like to capture at weddings is emotion; emotions, tenderness and lots of lots humour. This wedding had it by the bucket load. The best man's speech had me laughing inside, I have never seen the groom getting roasted so bad (in a good way of course).
What I thought was a rather nice touch was when a Mariachi band surprised guests as they relaxed on the lawn sipping drinks and mingling. This was probably the hottest day of the year to date which added to the Mexican theme.
You're all probably very eager to see just how much fun the day was, I recommend simply pressing play on the 4 minute video bellow (go full screen and volume up). A particular favourite moment of mine is when the best man gets a bit of a spank by grandma (you did read that right)... Don't blink or you may miss it.

Wedding Photography at Woburn Abbey (Sculpture Gallery)
Dupe & Ty's Multicultural Wedding at the Sculpture gallery - Bedfordshire
This was my first multicultural wedding and the 4th wedding I had photographed in 10 days. It was a refreshing delight to see Dupe and Ty so happy, at the spectacular and grand Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey.
I started the day with Dupe and her bridesmaids, the atmosphere was buzzing which lead to some lovely natural photos (I particularly liked the tearful moment when Dupe read a card from her husband-to-be).
I then met Ty (the groom) at the church "St Mary, Woburn". I love the nervous few moments before the bride arrives. The service was very heartfelt, with so much love expressed after the ceremony service, hugs and kisses from literally every guest! fantastic moments for me to capture (always puts a smile on my face).
After the service we then made our way to The Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey. I've seen a lot of venues in my time, but WOW, what a place. The newlyweds certainly selected a stunning building to celebrate their marriage. And celebrate they most certainly did!
They had an amazing vocal group setting the mood for the drinks reception followed by some rather emotional and humorous speeches.
The band set up, the toastmaster announced the couple in, they danced and friends and family helped them celebrate in true style.
Dupe & Ty, thanks for having me along to document your big day. It was Superb!
