Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of my most frequently asked questions.

If there is anything else that you would like to ask me please do get in touch

Do you take any group shots?

Yes, absolutely. Although I am a documentary style photographer, I do understand that people may have travelled a long way to be at your wedding and you would like some group shots. I don't like to raise my voice to shout for guests, instead I would request an usher or family member rounds up folks for the group formals. I found that no more than 6 groups is a the sweet spot in terms of timings, in my experience guests do not like to wait around too long for posed photographs.

Black & white or colour images?

Both! My style of photography suits my strong black and white edit, typically the final product you will receive will yield a 60/40 split in favour of black and white images.

Do you require feeding on the day?

Yes please!  I will be working hard for 8+ hours capturing lots of candid images. When you have your wedding breakfast it would be great if you could supply me with a hot meal and if possible in a separate room. I work best when fed ;)

How do we go ahead and book you?

When you are happy and are ready to secure me for your wedding day, just get in touch to start the ball rolling, all I need is a £250 (£500 for overseas) security deposit along with a signed booking form (provided by me). The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your wedding.

How many images will we receive?

Depending on which coverage option you choose, you will receive between 200 and 400 images. I focus on quality over quantity. I don't want to give you 20 images of a wedding dress hanging up, I look to photograph emotions and expressions that really tell the story of your day.

All these files will be high resolution jpegs presented to you in a gift boxed USB drive.

Will you travel to our wedding?

Yes, I am based in South Wales, but I travel all over England & Wales. Being a wedding photographer is great for visiting new and wonderful places (one of the career perks for sure). If you are getting married overseas and would like me to attend, as long as you can get me there and accommodate me I will be more than happy to photograph your day. Here is an example from Arizona: Jordyn & Simon

What happens if you are sick and unable to attend our wedding?

Thankfully I have never missed a wedding. I would always fight hard to be at your wedding. If there was a problem however, I would call upon my large network of photographer friends (who also shoot in a similar style) and request that they cover the wedding.
